I haven't seen them in person actually as everything was done online and some discussions were over-the-phone which is perfect. It was just like attending your meetings online during the lockdowns. They answered my questions promptly. They even sent me a congrats hamper after settlement. It was a bonus as they have set us to a bank that offered a huge cashback, not one of the big 4 banks, and are among the institutions that offer lowest variable interest rate in the market. I never thought we would tread the path of going through a broker, I always though my financial literacy and background would outweigh. The products they use to give guidance on your current loans, advise potential for new loans and the savings you could achieve are second to none. And I can attest to the accuracy of the estimates - every $ has been accounted for and matches perfectly! At first it was daunting, and I had my reservations... They did an exemplary job, helping us through the process, even when we doubted we would be able to break free from our existing loans. The rates they secured for us, special bonus as customers and ongoing fees (nil) were nothing short of amazing and in hindsight, only top brokers could have secured the rates we got (I tried prior with banks but they were having none of it). The ongoing support and feedback, even when the loan was completed, again was wonderful to see, not many companies I have dealt with in the past want anything more to do with you when they have received their commission. I appreciate the professionalism of loanbase and the pace at which Leo (and the staff) have worked. They were simply relentless in ensuring that customer experience was their number one priority and made my refinance application process smooth, but thorough. Unlike other brokers, Leo and his team kept me frequently updated - sometimes even on daily basis on how my application was progressing. They were super quick to revert and resolve any queries raised. They have some amazing reports and proposal forms that will blow you away - it offers so much clarity. The loan approval and request for discharge was sent to me current bank within 2 weeks of initial contact. In the end I accepted a retention offer from by current bank due to my personal circumstance - but I can't forget the most pleasant experience and the awesome deal that was extended by loanbase team. The next time I am looking for loan I know whom to contact and I am confident that it will happen soon.

I contacted Chris from Loan Base to ask whether he could help me refinance my CBA loans across to a better interest rate. He quickly completed an initial questionnaire, checked his system, and explained that, since I had recently changed from contract to full-time work (which meant a paycut), I unfortunately wouldn’t be able to get approved for a competitive loan refinance if I applied now. Chris suggested that he instead apply for a pricing discount with my current lender (CBA) on my behalf, and look at switching some of my loan from variable to fixed to save interest without needing to switch. I gave Chris the green light and he quickly got back to me explaining that he had managed to get CBA to price-match Westpac’s most competitive fixed rate, which allowed me to lock in an interest rate that was 0.85% lower than the rate I was previously paying! I explained that I wanted to keep my offset account, so Chris even split the loan so that a small amount was kept variable, which he explained would let me keep full benefit from my offset account. He also did not need me to switch my investment repayments from interest-only. Thanks Loan Base - this was a very quick, easy, and pain-free process that is saving me many thousands of dollars in interest each year! Best of all, it didn’t cost me a cent!
